After nearly a year of discussion, the Boca Raton City Council Tuesday killed a $2.9 million project that would have upgraded two city-owned parks on the Intracoastal Waterway in cooperation with three other agencies, but Boca Mayor Susan Welchel hopes the project can be resurrected despite the loss of some funding from the timetable needed. Frank Theatres will open an IMAX theatre at the Marketplace in Delray with 12 screens and a bowling alley. J. Alexander’s restaurant chain, with a location in Boca Commons, has been sold for $72 million. Lebron James earned $15 million and Dwayne Wade made $23 million from the Heat in 2011.
