The Palm Beach County Commission finally killed the proposal to needlessly widen Palmetto Park Road. What a waste of money that would be!
WRPBITV internet television station will be broadcasting from the Shoppes at Village Pointe owned by Boca philanthropist and chair of the Palm Beach County Film Festival, beginning in January.
Congressman Allen West (R-FL) has been named a member of the National Defense Authorization Act Conference. The NDAA Conference is a select group of bipartisan members from both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U. S. Senate that will begin hammering out the final provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012. NDAA legislation provides the policy for the Department of Defense and Americas Armed Services and ensures troops have the resources they need to defend America.

Dennis Max will open two new restaurants, adding to his Max’s Grille in Mizner Park and Max’s Harvest in Pineapple Grove. Frank & Dino’s, named after you know who will open at 718 S. Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach and Asssaggio del Forno (taste of the oven) opens at the Regency Court in January.
A new restaurant will open in the former Canyon Grill on Glades Road and another new one in the former Marios at the Wyndham Garden Hotel.
Two Spanish River High School students have asked the city to support their 'no texting while driving' campaign that turns out to have a link to Justin Bieber. The City Council will consider their request.
The Volen Center has a new taxi service for older adults who no longer drive or want to limit their driving.
The FINAL Coach's Radio Show with Coach Schnellenberger will be held tonight at the Duffy's on Saint Andrews Blvd in Boca Raton beginning at 5:30 PM. Free appetizers and drink specials will be offered.
