   Palm Beach County is studying the feasibility and costs of a pedestrian bridge across Palmetto Park Road at Boca Del Mar Drive.
   Alexandra Clough of the Palm Beach Post reports that NY Investment firm Kayne Anderson is moving its real estate private equity group to Boca Raton in the former One Town Center 10 story Tyco headquarters on Military Trail.

    Giovanna Cimino, owner of Italian bakery Cosa Duci in Boca received a $75,000 loan from Whole Foods Market to expand her business.
    Garda Security Services in Boca was honored by a visit from Governor Rick Scott for adding 200 jobs after a $2 million incentive grant was issued, $500,000 each from the County and the City with the state picking up the rest. The company is expected to expand in Boca later this year.
   TD Bank paid $300 million in lawsuit settlements in the wake of the Scott Rothstein Ponzi scheme, with the latest, $44 million to a Wall Street hedge fund.

  Florida Power & Light got $200 million taxpayer dollars in a governmental grant to switch to digital home meters, losing 200 meter reader jobs. Critics say they should have paid for it from a huge $ 1 BILLION profit they made last year, and the parent company NextEra Energy made $5 BILLION in profits in 2012.
   Citizens, the state owned insurer of last resort is being severely criticized about its huge $52 million giveaway to nine month old Heritage Insurance who took over 60,000 Citizen's policies, while six month old Weston Insurance was paid $62 million to take over 30,000 policies, with both companies paying over $300,00 in lobbying fees to influence the Governors and the Florida Legislature. 
    Congress will slash the food stamp program due to exploding growth in South Florida in the past 6 years. 193,000 food stamps recipients quadrupled since 2007 in Palm Beach County, 20% of South Florida, (1.2 million) on stamps, and Publix and Winn-Dixie make $30 million in food stamp redemptions.
    PBIA served 2.9 million passengers, FLL had 11.3  million passengers and MIA hosted 18.3 million passengers in 2011.
