Restaurateur Burt Rappoport has been wowing South Florida diners since 1980, including Bogart’s at the Cinemark theatres, Max’s Grille in Mizner Park and Henry’s in Delray, but opening by the end of October is what he hopes will be his “signature” achievement. Called Deck 84, the 260-seat, 15,000-square-foot eatery at 840 E.. Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach will have 150 feet of dock space on the Intracoastal. The spot was formerly home to Busch’s Seafood. Chuck Gittleman, executive chef at Bogart's, will add Deck 84 to his responsibilities.
West Boca Chamber of Commerce fourth Thursday network will be Sept. 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Caldwell Theatre, 7901 N. Federal Highway. Come and mingle with Chamber members and guests while enjoying delicious hors’doevres and libation in the beautiful theatre lobby. The West Boca Chamber of Commerce will hold its first West Boca Women in Business Luncheon on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 11:30 AM. The luncheon will be held at City Fish Market Restaurant, 7940 Glades Road, Boca Raton. Elaine Simmons, Image, Etiquette and Body Language Consultant and President of Exclusive Corporate Image will be the guest speaker. In her presentation, Business Etiquette: How to Make an Entrance and Work the Room, Elaine will explain the etiquette of how to use the entrance to ones advantage. She says “Its your window of opportunity!” The West Boca Women in Business luncheon was started to bring together business and professional women and provide them with a forum to learn, network and build business relationships in an effort to foster growth in the local business community. The luncheon will be held the first Wednesday of each month from 11:30 AM to 1 PM and will feature a guest speaker.
Networking begins at 11:30 with lunch to follow at 12 PM.
