The Florida Atlantic University Student Alumni Association (SAA) is working to help fund the University's new on-campus stadium by selling personalized bricks. The bricks, which may be engraved with an individual's name, an organization's name or a special message, will be placed in a sidewalk leading into the stadium. Stadium bricks are available in two sizes, 8 inches by 4 inches with 60 character spaces for personalization, and 8 inches by 8 inches with 120 character spaces. The 8-by-4 brick is available for $75 and the 8-by-8 brick is $125. All campaign supporters receive 1-by-3 or 3-by-3 inch replicas of their personalized bricks and a portion of the payment is tax deductible. The stadium fund receives $35 for each 8-by-4 inch brick purchased and $73 for each 8-by-8 inch brick purchased. The SAA also receives a percentage of profits. The first batch of bricks will be ordered in early June with expected delivery by early September. Bricks purchased after June 1 may not be placed until after the stadium has opened. Bricks will be available for purchase at the FAU spring football game on April 23 and can be purchased online anytime at http://fauf.fau.edu/brickcampaign. For more information about the stadium brick program, contact Paul Metcalf at 561-297-1248 or metcalf@fau.edu.
