Political bombshell: The Fourth District Court of Appeals reinstated term limits. County Commissioners Burt Aaronson and Karen Marcus can not run again and Aaronson is supporting his Senior Administrative Assistant Mary Lou Berger for the post.
Palm Beach County School Board districts will also be redrawn due to population changes. District Five School Board member Frank Barbieri is also up for reelection.
The Florida Supreme Court has ordered the emergency suspension of a Boca attorney after the Florida Bar said his home loan modification and foreclosure defense business was causing "great public harm." William O'Toole, whose firm Summit Legal Group worked with as many as 3,000 clients nationwide, is prohibited from accepting new clients and withdrawing money from company accounts.
Robb & Stucky, which closed in Mizner Park, is looking for 40,000 to 60,000 sq. ft. in areas from Coral Gables, Boca Raton and up to Orlando.
Penn-Florida has bought the Country Club at Boca Raton and plans to renovate it and keep it private, with a new name, logo and other changes.
